Need Assessment

In order to help us identify your specific needs and confirm your eligibility we will ask you to complete a brief questionnaire. This questionnaire seeks information on your medical condition, what type of treatment you are requiring and/or hoping to achieve, timings for treatment etc.

While we will strive hard to assist anyone seeking assisted reproduction, there are certain markers we apply to all our prospective clients that need to be assessed and met on every occasion.
These are:

You must be considering IVF/ surrogacy because of a proven medical disability which inhibits you from conceiving or carrying a child yourself. We will not offer our services to clients who are capable of conceiving and/or carrying their own child but don't wish to do so: and
You must be psychologically, physically, socially and financially prepared for and able to raise a child/children.

We take screening our clients very seriously and we are simply not willing to put our professional reputation at risk by facilitating surrogacy for those who have illegal intent or for the 'wrong' purposes.

Upon receipt of your completed questionnaire/ email, we will get back to you via email to arrange a meeting/ phone appointment to further explore and confirm your needs and expectations. We endeavour to respond to you within 48 hours.

If you are deemed eligible and decide you wish to proceed, we will require you to provide us with your relevant medical records. These we will forward to the chosen Doctor and clinic for their review, further liaison and confirmation of your suitability for treatment. Upon positive confirmation, we will be in contact with you to plan and formulate your programme for treatment in India. This will cover your timeline and protocol for medications, logistics, key timings and what to expect during your treatment and recovery time. At this stage recruitment of prospective Donors/ Surrogates will happen and you will be presented with and matched to a suitable Donor(s) and/ or Surrogate mother.

At this stage we will require a small deposit of US$300 from you. This deposit is nonrefundable but is applied to your first stage treatment payment if and when you get there.

We, at The White Stork Company are not directly involved in the recruitment and selection of Surrogate Mothers or Donors. Our selected doctors have their own proven sources, meticulous and stringent criteria for choosing Donors and Surrogates. For example:

Surrogates are between 21-35 years of age.
They are married mothers with previous normal deliveries and healthy babies.
Detailed medical history, psychological state, surgical history, personal history, and family history is looked into.
History of blood transfusion and addiction is also taken.
It is made sure that the surrogate has an uneventful obstetric history (no repeated miscarriages, no ante-natal, intra-natal and post-natal complications during previous pregnancies).
The surrogate and her partner are screened for infectious diseases, a pelvic sonography is done and other tests for uterine receptivity are performed to ensure maximum chances of success. Not a bullet point'A detailed financial and legal agreement is drawn up between the surrogate and the commissioning couple when you are completely satisfied.
